Separate the wheat from the chaff
Bribery and corruption – the impact on an organisation can be far-reaching. Here in New Zealand the incidence of bribery and corruption is on the rise and many businesses aren’t prepared to deal with it – or, more importantly, prevent it. Deloitte’s 2015 Bribery and Corruption Survey encourages businesses to consider a strategic approach to managing these risks.

At the strategic level, there is a real need to articulate the harm caused by this activity – to answer and defeat the tired old clichés used by those who seek to justify it, and to make anti-corruption an essential and visible part of the brand of every democracy.
