Why should organisations have a 'hotline' service?
There have been a number of high profile fraud cases in recent times, and research has revealed that 40% of detected fraud has resulted from a ‘tip-off', making them the leading method of fraud detection.
A recent international study of hotline effectiveness found -
- 65% of reports to a hotline warranted further investigation
- 10% of reports involved corruption or fraud
- In 71% of cases, hotline reports were the first notification of issues.
- Companies with a hotline cut fraud losses in half.
Report-It-Now provides people with the system to report incidents and actions that concern them.
Is the service anonymous and confidential?
Absolutely. We protect and respect the anonymity of the discloser as well as the confidentiality of the information/report.
What are the advantages of using Report-It-Now, over a company contact person or the HR department?
Research indicates that people are more likely to call, and are more open with an independent, confidential third party service. On occasion a senior manager or HR person may be implicated in an incident.

Why was Report-It-Now started?
Evidence suggests that fraud and wrongdoing in organisations is on the rise, two of the Report-It-Now Directors searched for a local NZ service to provide a confidential hotline service and none was available. Globally, the trend is for companies to utilise an external reporting management system. From this, the idea of Report-It-Now was created.
